Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston, born 9 August 1963 to an incredibly musical family from Newark New Jersey is the daughter of Gospel star Cissy Houston and John Russell Houston Jr. Also, she is the sister of the singer Dionne Warwick. In Newark Whitney, she began singing in the church choir when she was a young child. At the age 15 she joined her mom in singing background vocals on Chaka's hit Im Every Woman from 1978. In 1981, she did a stint as a fashion model, and was featured on the Seventeen album cover. She also provided backing vocals to Lou Rawls and Jermaine. Her singing with New York-based group Material attracted major record labels which included Arista. The label signed her to Arista in 1983, where she continued to work for the rest of her career. In 1985, Whitney Houston's debut album became the best-selling debut album of all time. A number of hit singles, such as the hit songs Saving All My Love For You How Will I Know You Give Good Love as well as The Most Beautiful Love of All were released from the album, setting her up to smash the Beatles record with seven consecutive US number ones. The album's first US year, the album was sold over 3 million units. Then it went on to be purchased by millions of people around the world, earning her the first Grammy. The Whitney album from 1987, featuring the tracks The Bodyguard, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Where Do Broken Hearts Get to, continued her success. However, it was The Bodyguard of 1992 that turned her into one of the biggest-selling artists in history. While her movie performance and its soundtrack were not popular however, her Dolly Parton cover I Will Always Love You as well as The Bodyguard album that accompanied it topped charts across the world for months. The daughter of her mother Bobbi was born March of 1993, a year she got married to Bobby Brown. In the same year her use of drugs was well-documented and she began using daily in 1996.

Dana Bash also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz is an American reporter anchorwoman and political reporter for CNN. Her programs on Saturdays are Evans & Novak Late Edition, Inside Politics and Inside Politics. Bash has received many awards as well as a spot at the top of the Women in Washington Power List published by Elle magazine. Many young journalists admire her reporting and anchoring abilities.
