Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. The name was given to her by her parents in honor of the town where she grew in. Her father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's father and mother have both been Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. The actress is also half-sister to Sunyata Jubal. Her older sibling is Uria. When Ryder was only seven her family relocated into Mendocino County California. Here, they did not have electricity. Television books were the only way for Ryder to spend the time and she was a voracious reader. Ryder started taking classes in acting in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983, when she was twelve years old. Lucas was let go in 1986, and Ryder who was barely 15 years old, landed a role as a leading actress. Ryder was bullied at high school. Ryder believed that her future as an actress could bring about change. However, the plan didn't pan out. However, she pushed on with her goal. Ryder made her breakthrough through Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder was able to continue her successful roles in many movies. In 1993 she won an Oscar Award in the film The Age of Innocence.
